Scared of Chaka

I loved Scared of Chaka. Fast, catchy and for some reason underrated. We played with them a couple times when they came through San Francisco and everyone I knew liked 'em as much as me. There's no sane reason that their best album, Masonic Youth, should be out of print. It's as good as any early Dickies or Dead Kennedy's record. Maybe one day it will be considered as classic.

  3. I had their split 7" with The Gain, and S of C didn't do it for me as much as the other. Also my girlfriend at the time for some reason HATED Scared of Chaka.

Well thank you for posting this. This totally rocks in a style that's between garage and pop punk.

  4. For some reason, as much as I loved/love this record I never picked up anything else by them. What little I heard I didn't like as much as this. I'll have to hunt down thier other releases sometime...
